Cyprus topped out at 34°C today, the day's hottest reading logged at Pareklisia, while five stations held a tropical night overnight and no station reported rain in the past 24 hours.

Tomorrow turns milder inland but still warm at the coast: Nicosia reaches 32°C (feels like 33°C), Limassol and Larnaca 30°C (feels 32-33°C), Polis Chrysochous 30°C (feels 33°C), Paralimni and Protaras 30°C (feels 33°C), and Paphos stays the coolest coast at 28°C (feels 31°C). Troodos cools further to 21°C. Rain chances are low everywhere, mostly under 5%, and UV peaks at a high 7 across the island, so keep sun protection on.

The sea stays swimmable, around 27.6-28.6°C with gentle waves under 1.1 metres from Limassol to Protaras.

The Department of Meteorology has issued a yellow warning for isolated heavy thunderstorms, in force from last night until 16:59 today, moving from the west of the island to the rest of it, with hail possible and gusts up to 8 Beaufort. Take care outdoors through the morning and early afternoon.

Behind the storm risk, today stays warm: Limassol reaches 31°C (feels 30°C), Larnaca 29°C (feels 30°C) and Nicosia 27°C (feels 29°C). Paphos faces an 83% chance of rain and Polis Chrysochous 53%, while Troodos stays much cooler at 18°C, dropping to 12°C overnight. UV peaks around 7 across most lowland regions.

The sea stays swim-friendly, 27.8-28.4°C from Limassol to Larnaca, with calm waves under half a metre.

Tomorrow turns hotter inland, with Nicosia climbing to 31°C, while the coasts hold closer to today's levels.
