About Kairika

Kairika (Καιρικά — "weather conditions" in Greek) turns official Cyprus weather data into fast, visual, decision-ready answers in English, German, Greek and Russian. It is an independent, ad-free project: live station readings, dust levels, sea temperature, heat guidance, forecasts, official warnings, station history with records, and a four-language Daily Brief.

Official warnings issued by the Cyprus Department of Meteorology, via the EUMETNET MeteoAlarm network. Official texts shown unaltered, with issue time.

Official DoM daily series for 7 stations (2010–2025) and the island-wide annual rainfall series since 1901 (CC BY 4.0).

Forecasts, air quality & dust, sea state and its 2015–2025 archive behind the sea season curve (CC BY 4.0), plus ERA5 reanalysis for the climate history since 1940. Model values, labeled as such.
NOAA NCEI — historical station archives
GSOD, GHCN-hourly and GHCN-Daily archives: observed daily series for Larnaca & Paphos airports, Athalassa, Polis and Agros — plus century-scale town series (Nicosia from 1881). Cross-checked against reanalysis before records are shown.

Part of a family

Kairika is built by the maker of Fragmata (Cyprus reservoirs dashboard) and Monopatia (Cyprus hiking trails guide), and shares their design language and open-data philosophy. A public API for the sibling projects — and anyone else — is part of the plan.
