Cyprus peaked at 40.2°C today in Kalavasos, the island's hottest reading, and 13 of the network's stations recorded a tropical night, staying too warm to cool off before dawn. No station logged any rain in the past 24 hours.

Tomorrow is the headline: hot and dry everywhere. Polis Chrysochous leads at 35°C, with Nicosia, Limassol and Larnaca close behind near 34°C — Limassol and Paphos feel warmest, pushing past 35°C in the humidity despite Paphos's cooler 32°C reading. Paralimni-Protaras stays milder around 31°C, and Troodos offers the best escape at 25°C, feeling like 26°C. UV climbs to a very high 7-8 across the island, so sun protection matters at midday.

The sea stays a warm 28.5-29.2°C from Paphos to Protaras with calm, sub-metre waves — still excellent for swimming.

Cyprus bakes today, hottest inland and in the west: Polis Chrysochous tops out at 39°C, Nicosia at 37°C, and Larnaca at 36°C, though Larnaca's humid air pushes the feels-like to 40°C, the island's highest. Limassol (34°C, feels 39°C) and Paralimni & Protaras (33°C, feels 38°C) are almost as sticky. Overnight brought little relief, with 17 stations logging a tropical night; Amargeti is currently the hottest reporting station at 30.4°C. Troodos stays the escape, peaking at a mild 27°C. No rain and no dust concerns anywhere today. The sea remains warm and calm for swimming, around 28°C from Limassol to Larnaca, with waves under a metre. Tomorrow eases only slightly, mid-30s on the coast and still 36°C in Polis Chrysochous.
