Cyprus peaked at 36.1°C today, the island's hottest reading coming from Nicosia, and five stations recorded a tropical night, with temperatures never dropping much after dark. No rain fell anywhere in the past 24 hours.

Tomorrow turns hotter inland: Nicosia climbs to 36°C, feeling like 41°C, while Larnaca, Limassol, Polis Chrysochous and Paralimni & Protaras all reach around 33°C, with Larnaca feeling like 39°C. Paphos stays milder on the coast at 30°C, and Troodos offers relief at 26°C. UV sits at a very high index of 8 island-wide, so sun protection matters, and no rain is expected anywhere.

The sea stays great for swimming, from 26.8°C off Limassol to 29°C off Larnaca and Protaras, with gentle waves no higher than 0.7 metres.

Heat holds the island today, with Nicosia the hottest spot at 35°C and a feels-like of 39°C. Five of the 54 reporting stations recorded a tropical night, so there was little overnight relief before another hot day. Around the coast it is more bearable: Limassol and Paralimni/Protaras reach 31°C (feels 35°C), Larnaca 32°C (36°C), Polis Chrysochous 31°C (35°C), and Paphos stays coolest of the lowland spots at 29°C (33°C). Troodos offers real relief at 23°C. The sea is swimmable everywhere, from 26.6°C off Limassol to 28.7°C off Larnaca, with calm waves under a metre. Tomorrow brings more of the same, with Nicosia edging up to 36°C.
