Cyprus peaked at 39.5°C today, with Nicosia recording the island's hottest reading and no rain reported at any station over the past 24 hours.

Tomorrow, the heat holds but eases slightly. Nicosia is the hotspot again at 37°C, feeling like 41°C in the afternoon sun. Polis Chrysochous follows at 35°C (feels 40°C), while Larnaca and Paralimni & Protaras reach 32°C and 31°C (feels 37°C and 36°C). Limassol tops out near 31°C (feels 36°C) and Paphos stays the coolest coast at 29°C (feels 35°C). Troodos stays mild at 26°C. No rain is expected anywhere, and UV runs very high at 8 along the coast and 9 in Troodos, so plan midday shade.

The sea stays warm and inviting for swimming, around 27-29°C along the coast, with calm waves of roughly 0.3-0.6m.

The Cyprus Department of Meteorology has issued a yellow heat warning for today, with inland temperatures expected to reach around 40°C between 14:00 and 15:59. It is a hot day island-wide, with the harshest feel in the west.

Nicosia peaks at 38°C, feeling like 40°C, after a warm night no cooler than 22°C. Polis Chrysochous is worse still: a high of 36°C but a feels-like of 41°C. Larnaca reaches 33°C (feels 37°C), Limassol and Paralimni & Protaras both hit 32°C (feels 37°C), Paphos stays milder at 29°C (feels 35°C), and Troodos offers the best relief at 27°C. No rain is expected anywhere, and UV runs high at 8, or 9 in Troodos.

The sea is warm and calm for swimming, with Larnaca at 28.6°C and Paphos at 27.7°C.

Tomorrow eases slightly everywhere, with Nicosia down to 37°C.
