Cyprus peaked at 40.5°C today, the island's top reading coming from Nicosia, capping a night that stayed tropical at 13 stations. No rain fell anywhere over the last 24 hours.

Tomorrow is the day to watch: the Department of Meteorology has issued a yellow high-temperature warning for inland areas, forecasting around 40°C between 13:00 and 15:29. Nicosia leads at 39°C with a 42°C feels-like, Polis Chrysochous follows at 36°C (41°C felt), Larnaca reaches 36°C, Paralimni and Limassol sit at 33°C, Paphos stays milder at 30°C, and Troodos is coolest at 28°C with a 10% chance of rain. UV runs high at index 8 across the island.

The sea stays warm for swimming, around 29°C off Paphos, Latchi, Larnaca and Protaras, with calm, sub-1m waves.

Cyprus Department of Meteorology has issued a yellow warning for high temperatures today, valid 14:00–15:59, with around 40°C expected inland. Nicosia is the hot spot at 39°C, feeling like 40°C, while Polis Chrysochous feels hottest overall at 41°C despite a lower 35°C reading. Limassol and Larnaca both reach 34°C, Paralimni and Protaras 33°C, Paphos stays milder at 30°C, and Troodos is the coolest at 27°C with the day's only rain chance, 15%. Dust levels are low everywhere today. The sea is ideal for swimming: Larnaca 28.9°C, Latchi 28.8°C, Protaras 28.7°C, Paphos 28.6°C and Limassol 26.1°C, with calm to light waves. Tomorrow eases slightly, with Nicosia down to 38°C and Larnaca to 35°C, while other regions hold close to today's levels.
