Cyprus peaked at 41.2°C today, with Achna the island's hottest station, and 19 stations recorded a tropical night overnight while no rain fell anywhere. The Department of Meteorology has a yellow warning running tonight until 05:59: inland lows aren't expected to fall below 26°C, so little relief is coming before morning.

Tomorrow stays similarly hot, and DoM has issued a separate yellow warning for inland highs near 40°C between 14:00 and 17:00. Nicosia and Polis Chrysochous should reach 38°C (feeling like 38°C and 40°C), Larnaca 36°C (feels 39°C), Limassol 34°C (feels 38°C), Paralimni and Protaras 33°C, Paphos the coolest coast at 32°C, and Troodos topping out at 29°C. Rain isn't expected anywhere, and UV runs high at 8, reaching 9 in Troodos.

The sea stays warm and calm for swimming, 27-29°C with waves under a metre along most coasts.

Polis Chrysochous and Nicosia lead at 40°C and 39°C, with Limassol topping out at 35°C but feeling like 40°C in the humidity. Larnaca reaches 35°C, Paphos 33°C, and Paralimni 34°C, while Troodos stays comfortable near 28°C. Overnight lows barely dropped, with 19 of 53 stations recording a tropical night. UV runs 8 to 9 nearly everywhere, so cover up around midday.

The sea is swimming-friendly, from 25.4°C off Limassol to a warm 28.3°C at Latchi, with calm waves under a metre.

Tomorrow eases only slightly, with similar heat expected across the island.
